Title : Sr. Development Manager
Job Position
Looking for a well qualified people manager with min of 10+ years of IT experience out of which 2 years at least in people management space. This candidate should have preferably managed a development team of people.
a. Should have excellent communication skills. Able to talk efficiently and effectively with the global development team and have the talent of challenging technically.
b. Complete responsibility for creating and executing development plans and implementing development processes for multiple projects in an offshore development model.
c. Must able to lead a project with less dependency and control the project with respect to schedule and quality.
d. Person would be responsible for review of group’s work and perform Supervisory/mentoring role with subordinates. Acts confidently in uncertain circumstances; works effectively in ambiguous situations
e. Initiates collaboration with others; invites others to meetings and presentations to share information
f. Ensures that pro-active/cooperative relationships exist within the program and project teams. Assists team members in resolving issues.
g. Should have excellent negotiation skills. Demonstrating ability to motivate and influence others.
h. Bring technical expertise based on development experience, and make sound technical decisions to deliver high quality projects
i. Communicates policy and technical directions to all levels within group. Status reporting and presenting solutions is an integral part of the job. Ensures proactive and cooperative relationships exist within own project team
Technical Skills Required
a. Total experience in IT should be at least 10+ years. Should have managed multiple projects with successful delivery.
b. Should have strong technical background on design and coding in C#, ASP.NET, Web services with a minimum of 7 years of experience in these technical areas. Should be able to do coding if required during critical times when the team has problem.
c. Would be an added advantage if the candidate has incorporated any Automation process for code review, unit testing. SQL Knowledge would be an added advantage.
d. Having prior knowledge on development process like PSP/TSP, Agile would be added advantage.
