Key Responsibilities in the role:
· Proactive involvement in planning, designing and execution across the Sales & Marketing group following MSIT’s SDLC process.
· Initiate and promote engineering best practices within the team.
· Design, debug, re-factoring and maintaining automation.
· Deliver high quality applications using our latest and up-and-coming products.
· Driving key quality initiatives though the engineering team.
· Perform root cause analysis and work with product teams for resolution.
· Apply continuous improvement across the Dev organization as well as overall product delivery.
· Mentor and grow team members.
· Define and drive improvements in the overall quality of Sales product delivery, including automation, code coverage and inspection processes.
· Collaborate within Sales and with other engineering teams or operations teams as required.
· Partner with other discipline groups to review specifications, proactively identify issues, insure timely resolution of issues, ensure thorough unit-testing and understand support issues.
· Active participation in design\build cycle of the software development lifecycle (requirements gathering, prototyping, architecture, detailed design, and development).
Qualifications:
· This position requires excellent oral/written communication skills, and the ability to weed though ambiguity and formulate recommendations clearly. Technical horsepower and critical thinking are required.
· 6+ years of software development experience with C#, Silverlight, .Net programming, WCF Web services , SQL and VSTF 2008\2010.
· Experience working through the full product cycle from initial design to final product delivery.
· Strong customer focus and passion for doing the right thing for the customer.
· Strong cross-group collaboration and influencing skills.
· Self-driven and ability to work with minimal direction and in a team to research innovative solutions to challenging business/technical problems.
· Demonstrated ability to work at the tactical and strategic levels of IT initiatives.
· Team player and driven towards self-improvement, development, and achievement.
· Sound problem resolution, judgment, negotiating, and decision making skills.
